Another magical Christmas romance that had me hooked from page one and laughing out loud

An easy 5 star review a brilliant book.....This was a great story I wasn't aware prior to picking it up that it runs along the same timeline as book 1 Christmas at Lilac Cottage, that said you don't need to have read book 1 to be able to follow this story but if you have read book 1 you will notice little things that will make sense to you. There were a couple of things I predicted once I realised the books ran alongside each other but it didn't spoil the storyline any. And I'm tempted to re read book one to see if anything there will point in the direction of book two now I've read it.This story grabbed me from page 1 and had me up until the early hours three nights running in order to finish it as I couldn't bear to put it down and when I did I couldn't wait to return to reading it.The humour throughout the book had me tittering along and it felt as though the humour suited my age range with references to films and people that made sense to me. Though I'd love to use examples of bits I laughed out loud at I also don't want to add spoilers but the humour ranged from smirking right up to nearly chocking on my coffee. Though the humour wasn't the only emotion through the story as it was a very endearing relationship too. I've definately spent the last 3 days smiling though.I loved the easy going relationship between George and Libby but the other characters in the community around them made the story more rich and fulfilled as they grew to become friends.Can't wait for book 3 out next month though it will be different seeing White Cliff Bay I the summer after two Christmas stories, will make a great holiday read though I'm in no doubt about that.

Snowflakes on Silver Cove

This book is the second in the series but can be read as a standalone book as the characters in the first book don't really feature and make a brief appearance. The book focuses on two best friends and neighbours George and Libby who would make the perfect couple but Libby is a bit of a wanderer and doesn't like to put down roots and George suffers from confidence issues after his first wife ditched him for someone else. As Libby is a romantic novelist , in the name of research she decides to help George find his confidence once again but how far is she willing to take it and will George find the confidence to say how he really feels about his best friend!? Lovely romantic comic romp. In places its absolutely hilarious particularly as there is a parallel story featuring Amy and Seb with Amy very much providing the comedy factor!Absolutely loved this book and the characters in it! Well done Holly.

Fantastic feel good read

This is the second book from holly I have read. It is heartwarming and has you gripped from the first chapter. I love how it meets with Holly's first Christmas book in this series with some of the characters here in this book as well. Very well written and very well enjoyed. Looking forward to the third installment. Wish I could go there. Well done.
