5An excellent second aprt of a gripping trilogy
By Doombear
A thought-provoking development of the trilogy. Larsson pulls no punches when it comes to describing how men abuse women in so many different ways. it reaches a cliff-hanger of a climax which demands that you immediately pick up the final part of the trilogy. I loved the way that Larsson keeps the heroine in the background whilst the initial police enquiry is launched and developed, leaving the reader to wonder just how involved was Salander in the crimes.

2Disappointing Sequel
By Mrs_Schofield
I really enjoyed Dragon Tattoo and I was looking forward to reading book 2 of the Millennium Trilogy. Lisbeth is an amazing character but she gets totally lost in this book. I enjoyed the descriptions of her in expensive hotels trying to figure out impoosible maths problems, but she is missing from alot of the book. Also there's no interaction between Lisbeth and Blomkvist, something that I really enjoyed from the first book. I realise that's part of the story/character development, but it seems a shame to miss out seomthing that so many people liked from Dragon Tattoo.

4Great read
By Mr. D. J. Longson
A gripping novel with a great sense of plot and place. I had trouble with some of the names of subsidiary characters because of lack of familiarity with Scandinavian names but still enjoyed the strong narrative.
