This is well worth a read if you can find a copy as it's the latest update on Doreen Tovey's life in a small village with Siamese cats. Although not entirely as funny as some of her earlier books due various sad circumstances it is still full of her unique style and love for cats and country living.

Written when Doreen was approaching her 80s it is a gentler book and certainly lacking her usual spark of humour. However it has the warmth of her previous reminscences and I would recommend it to her true fans - this especially as it is probably her last book as she died on Monday 14th January 2008 in hospital at Weston-s-Mare after a short illness. She left two cats who have returned to the breeder from whence they came. I will always be grateful for the happiness I gained from reading her books.

Another enjoyable book by this author, alas no longer with us. Not just for cat but all animal lovers alike.
