Don't buy this for SCL programming

The book contain lots of info but from having read literally hundreds of books on various programming and software related subjects I think it is a below average book.I bought it only for SCL programming but in this regard it is particularly lacking.Chapter 27-31 covers SCL and it's only about 50 pages of 543 total. It is simply not enough and you are better of just reading the Siemens manuals like "S7-SCL V5.3 for S7-300/400".There are some areas in the book related to the general operation and configuration of the S7-300/400 and those apply to both to SCL and STL programming.The price of the book is low in comparison to the time and the cost of the hardware and software needed for even the smallest S7 project. So if you're a professional developer like me you should probably just buy it and simply put it on the shelf if you don't find anything useful in it.If you're a student on the other hand you might want to hold on to your money.
