Another good read from Ms McFalls

It was a good day when I discovered Dorothy McFalls. Having already read and enjoyed both Lady Iona's Rebellion and the Marriage List, I was quick to get my digital mits on The Nude and I was not disappointed. While not exactly a ground-breaking premise - working to restore a lady trust in men and the world around her - the intricacies around the story and the way it was told was beautiful and at times truly moving. Elsbeth is a truly appealing heroine who really 'deserves' her happy ending and you fight along with her to help her become a person she needs to be, a person our hero has always seen.I read a lot, A LOT a lot, and it isn't often I am fooled by a main perpetrator of a plot for long but with The Nude, I was kept guessing close to the 'big reveal' near the end.One of my only problems with the book was the name of the hero. I'd like to say that I'm not that shallow but Nigel? Not sexy, through still preferable to what some authors seem to think are appropriate (Blake, Chase, Tyler, Mason are not common names for British men now, let alone in the regency period!)I do love regency period books of different genres and it's rare that you find one so unapologically different that this was a true surprise. More like this please!

Amaaaaazing!

I've read loads of historical romances some awful, some brilliant. This book is certainly the latter. The twists and turns in the plot kept me gripped. The romance between the main characters was beautiful. A thoroughly great read! I will certainly be following this author.

Clever and Engaging

The intricate plot, the complex characters and the hot romance make this a winner. Not to be missed by lovers not only of historical romance but romantic suspense. Loved it.
